Food and Clothing Drives
The Enlightened One said, " if people knew as I know the results of giving and sharing, they would not eat without having given nor would the stain of stinginess overcome their minds. Even if it were their last bite, their last mouthful, they would not eat without having shared, if there was someone to share it with."

We organize these drives and invite the community to donate food and clothes to the WeCareForYou Charity. The charity will then distribute food and clothes among needy people through Canadian Non-profit organizations such as: North York Harvest Food Bank, Imagine Canada, Fred Victor etc.
Since the beginning, WeCareForYou Team has worked to alleviate hunger and provide comport to those in need. There is no better satisfaction than seeing the precious smile of someone who will not miss a meal and who is well protected by comfortable and warm clothes.

"A person who is responsive to requests and compassionate towards all beings distributes gifts delightedly, saying, “Give them! Give!” That person is like a great storm cloud—resounding, thundering—raining, filling with water and drenching all over the earth. He earns his wealth honestly through his own effort. He satisfies those in need with food and drink."

Warm Clothing Drive - January 2025 in Canada
The Warm Clothing Drive 2024-25, organized by We Care For You Charity, was a success! On Friday, January 10th, 2025, at the Fred Victor Homeless Shelter, our community group donated 10 big boxes filled with brand-new items including hats, mittens, scarves, socks, jackets, sweaters, and toiletries.
An incredible group of volunteers came together to donate items, give their time to wrap them, and help ensure the drive's success. These donations were transformed into thoughtful gifts that bring comfort to those in need. This collaborative initiative exemplified the spirit of giving and allowed us to further support Fred Victor’s mission to bring positive change to the lives of individuals facing homelessness and low-income housing in Toronto. We extend our deepest gratitude to our advisory, Most Venerable Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thero, for kind guidance and blessings. Our thanks also go to the Fred Victor management team, the We Care For You Charity team, and every generous donor and devoted volunteer who made this meaningful project possible. |
