Green Healing Tree Planting Event - 2024
The We Care For You Charity team and volunteers, in partnership with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, planted several native trees and shrubs and helped remove litter and debris from the Centennial Park Restoration Site on Sunday, June 9th, 2024.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude and share the merit that we collected in this meritorious project to everyone who participated; the success of this event would not have been possible without the active involvement of all the volunteers that donated their time and energy, the We Care For You team and all the support of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority staff. At We Care For You Charity, we are committed to making a positive impact on our environment. We advocate for sustainable practices and strive to inspire others to join our efforts. Each tree planted will grow to provide shade, clean the air we breathe, preserve biodiversity, and beautify our surroundings for generations to come. |

Green Healing July - 2011
For a second year in a row, We care For You team collaborated with Ever green Society of Canada to organize yet another stewardship event in July of 2011, Downsview Park. Once again, team members played a very important role in initiating and promoting the event throughout the community. Youth member s were paired with an adult member or adult volunteer from the community and assisted with clearing away several weeds and other unwanted plants that were hindering the success of saplings, which, once big enough, will be transplanted in various locations around the city. Refreshments and lunch were served to all volunteer s. A Dhamma desana was given by Ven. Kemaratna bhante after the prog ram was over.
