Blood Drives
"...In this way not killing beings, putting aside rods, swords and weapons, and being ashamed of killing beings, being sympathetic and kind, and full of compassion for beings is the path leading to a long lifespan."

Blood Donation Clinic - August 2024
On August 3rd and August 5th, We Care for You Charity organized its second blood drive of the year with the support of two Canadian Blood Services locations: the Hillcrest Mall and Scarborough Donor Centre.
We are grateful to the 17 donors who took the time and effort to donate blood during our weekend event; thanks to them, many patients will receive the critical care they need. It’s estimated that about 50% of the population is eligible to donate blood, yet only about 5% actually do. We invite you to continue this act of kindness by donating blood. The GiveBlood app from Canadian Blood Services is always available for you to book your next appointment. Our blood donation drive was a success thanks to the dedicated efforts of the We Care for You Charity volunteer team and the support of the Hillcrest Mall Blood Drive and Scarborough Donor Centre staff. |

Blood Donation Clinic - March 2024
On Thursday, March 14 and Saturday, March 16 of 2024, the We Care for You Charity organized the first blood drive of the year with the support of the Canadian Blood Services Hillcrest Mall location. We are incredibly grateful to the 32 individuals who generously donated blood. Their dedication to this noble cause has not just saved lives but also raised awareness about the crucial significance of blood donation.
In Canada, it's estimated that every 60 seconds, someone needs blood. This emphasizes the critical need for regular blood donations to ensure that hospitals and medical facilities have an adequate supply for patients across the country. The success of our blood donation drive would not have been possible without the active involvement, organization, and promotion of the We Care For You Charity volunteer team and all the support of the Hillcrest Mall Blood Drive location staff. |

Blood Donation Clinic - 2023
On May 20th and May 22nd, 2023, the We Care for You Charity organized a blood drive with the support of the Canadian Blood Services Hillcrest Mall location. We want to express our deepest thanks to all 60 individuals (and counting) who generously donated blood. Their contribution to this noble cause has not only helped save lives but also spread awareness about the importance of blood donation.
By donating blood, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of patients, accident victims, and those battling life-threatening conditions. One blood donation can save up to 3 lives! The success of our blood donation drive would not have been possible without the active involvement, organization and promotion of the We Care For You volunteer team and all the support of the Hillcrest Mall Blood Drive location staff. |

There is an urgent need for blood in Canada - especially when the holidays approach. Blood Donation Clinic - October, 2010
We organized a blood drive at the Boxgrove Community Centre in Markham in October of 2010. Due to a very large turnout of donors, Canadian Blood Services was able to exceed its expected quota of pints of blood collected. WeCareForYou Charity coordinated the tasks for this event, such as contacting donors to obtain information, looking for a community centre to host the event, creating posters and flyers to promote the event, offering refreshments to the donors who participated in the event, and directed all traffic throughout the event. This event enabled us to offer the community a lifesaving gift.
