Important Things to Consider:
One blood donation can save up to 3 lives.
It takes many donors to save a patient's life:
- 5 Donors to save someone who needs heart surgery.
- 50 Donors to help a person seriously hurt in a car crash.
- 8 Donors a week to help someone with leukemia.
How You Can Help:
- Visit a Canadian Blood Services location. Find your nearest donation centre at www.blood.ca
- Make it a family tradition. Bring friends and loved ones!
- Commit to donating regularly and be a hero all year long.
How to Participate:
To join this life-saving initiative, you need to register with Canadian Blood Services and make an appointment. Follow these steps:
- Register online here
- Select “Partners for Life – Join/Manage Organizations” from the menu
- Search for the team name We Care For You Charity, and select Join The Team
- If you’re already a registered blood donor, simply search for the team name and JOIN THE TEAM.
- Once registered, every donation you make will contribute toward your team’s annual pledge.

- You can donate blood, plasma, platelets, or make a financial contribution. Review more ways to donate here.
- If you are a frequent donor, remember the following intervals for appointments:
- Whole blood: Every 56 days for males, every 84 days for females.
- Plasma: Every 6–14 days, depending on the donor program
- Platelets: Every 14 days.
- Whole blood: Every 56 days for males, every 84 days for females.
